Privacy Policy

Data Collection

AniScout does NOT collect any personal information. We don't have servers, databases, or analytics tracking your usage. The app works entirely on your device.

Local Storage

The following data is stored locally on your device only:

• Your saved anime list
• Episode progress tracking
• Genre preferences (liked and hidden)
• App settings (display preferences)

This data never leaves your device. When you delete the app, all this data is permanently removed.

Third-Party Services

AniScout uses the following third-party service:

• AniList API: We fetch public anime data (titles, descriptions, popularity stats) from AniList's public GraphQL API. This data is publicly available and does not include any personal information. See AniList's Terms.

No Account Required

AniScout does not require you to create an account, log in, or provide any personal information like email, name, or phone number.

No Tracking or Analytics

We do not use any analytics services, tracking pixels, or third-party SDKs that collect usage data. We have no idea how you use the app, and that's by design.

Internet Usage

AniScout requires an internet connection only to:

• Fetch anime trend data from AniList API
• Load anime cover images

Your internet usage is limited to these necessary API calls. No background tracking or data uploads.

Children's Privacy

AniScout does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children under 13. Since we don't collect any data at all, the app is safe for all ages.

Changes to This Policy

If we ever change how we handle data (spoiler: we won't), we'll update this policy and notify users through an app update.
